Jonathan Dayton Regional High School
Class Of 1970

Welcome to the Meeting Place & Reunion Information Center
For the Jonathan Dayton Regional High School Class of 1970

There is still an intention to seek out a date and site for a 2022 reunion – to recognize our mutual 70th birthdays as well as 50+ years since graduation.

While President-for-Life Al Ramos and the indefatigable Susan Kleiner remain on the organizing committee, three others have submitted their resignations.  Departing the committee are Melissa Bachrach, Carol Hodes and Roberta Murchison.

Now it is time for some others to step up and be involved in the planning and decision making!  No excuses – most of you have retired from jobs.  There’s no heavy lifting [for those with bad backs and vacation brains].

The committee needs someone who is moderately computer literate to manage the www.jdrhs70.com site as well as distribute emails through the site’s address book.  Melissa is handling this now and will assist in the transition.

Carol will continue to maintain the JDRHS70 page on Facebook and will work with the person handling the website so that messages go on both locations.  These are the only two “official” sites.

Susan has started the process of contacting hotels/restaurants for a location for the event.  Given that so many weddings and other celebrations were postponed because of Covid19, the weekends are booking quickly even for 2022.

So please step up and volunteer.  You all bring a world of talent and expertise that can only make the outcome better.  Whether you still live in Springfield or in other parts of the country, there is much that can be done via email, text, phone and Zoom.  But, yes, you folks who stayed in Springfield and the surrounding communities – you would be truly helpful when it comes to some of the logistics.

Regards,

The JDRHS70 Reunion Organizing Committee
