Richard R. Uslan Obituary

Richard R. Uslan of Martinsville, NJ, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Rich was 71.

A lifelong resident of New Jersey, Rich was an Eagle Scout, a loyal University of Wisconsin alum, and earned his JD from New York Law School. Rich served with distinction in the Essex County Prosecutor's office before founding his own successful law practice, where he developed the nationally recognized “Ambien Defense," and was honored to argue before the NJ Supreme Court.

hough illness drained his strength, as a lifelong Yankee fan, he found the energy to enjoy their June 28, 2023, perfect game. If you asked Rich, it was a perfect event to top off a perfect life.

Rich is remembered by his loving wife of 37 years, Barbara, children Erik (Sarah) and Nicole (Daniil), and brothers David, James, and Daniel (Sharon). He was the proud “Poppy” to his grandsons, Noah and Isaac.

A private memorial service will be held in his honor. Arrangements by Bruce C. Van Arsdale Funeral Home in Somerville.
